Update to my Tabasco separation post. Shook it and settled worse so I used a pipette to extract the vinegar and ran the rest through a centrifuge for further seperation. Creating a batch of ultra thick Tabasco concentrate. It’s delicious

    This… escalated quickly.

    But I’m oddly aroused.

  2. Removed peepee from tabasco. Tastes good man 💯

Every now and then a man just needs to bust out his centrifuge and fix shit. 💪

Extra spicy centrifuge. I’ll be nowhere in this building, thank you very much.

Holy shit imagine making the separated vinegar into a salad dressing. This man is dangerous.

Well since we’re involving equipment, ill share this long story for no reason.

When I was 16 my stepbrother was only 6 months younger, we were best friends that fought endlessly.

I went down stairs to check on him one time cause he was being hella quiet and I heard him sneak down there. Knew he wasn’t jerkin it cause we had our own rooms so It had to be something more nefarious. I made it down the steps before he heard me and I could here him rushing around as I made it down the hall to the room he was in.

Right as he was in sight I saw him bend over and yell shit and then fly back up screaming and threw him self onto the couch yelling “SHITHELPMEHELPSHITMYEYESAREBURNINGSHITHELPSHIT”
I rushed over to see what happened while he begged for help, I said not until he told me what just happened. He told me that he had filled a saline syringe full of Tabasco sauce to use as pepper spray on me. When he heard me coming he rushed to hide it and dropped the syringe over the coffee table and tried to catch it at the last second. it landed plunger first and his hand grabbing it slammed it down resulting in a high pressure burst of hot sauce directly into his eye.

    I did not help him.

This was not what I expected when I saw the original post. Good job bro

I love scientists! ❤️ I love that you applied your career to your hot sauce and came up with a new invention.

As a spice enjoyer this makes me so happy. Tabasco is not a “hot” pepper but my god the vinegar in every fucking hot sauce is dog fucking shit. If your bottle says ghost pepper and my lips dont even tingle im aware you put a ghost pepper in the room with the bottle with a fan pointed towards it. A genuine 5% ghost pepper would make every average spice person cry. So I’m fully sick of dilution.

I too have access to a lightly used centrifuge…. Chipotle Tabasco in a serum separation tube 🧐

    Man I’m jealous , you’ve created a masterpiece

  16. And now I know what else to use my centrifuge for… why did you do this to me

If I tie a bottle to a 5ft rope and swing it around real fastlike. How long you reckon it’ll take me to get that ultra thick sauce?

  21. Cpt_Jigglypuff

    How. Does. It. Taste?!?!

I’d imagine you’re not only losing vinegar. Did the spiciness stay in the thick side, or did you lose some to the vinegar side?

    I need more info!

I can see the headlines now “Florida man creates super Tabasco, burns hole through body”
But I have to ask, what type of lab is that? Because I wouldn’t be putting food anywhere near lab glassware, no matter how clean it looks.

    (Sounds delicious, NARF!!!)

  24. tripflops

My dad used to grow Tabasco peppers and make hot sauce with them. It was super thick and actually pretty spicy

  25. ellipsis31

I’m really hoping you were operating under food-grade lab conditions.
